Hello everyone! My name is Khylah Harris, I am a rising Senior Nutritional Science major attending the illustrious Morgan State University. My goals for this summer include networking, assisting with projects and shadowing people in various career fields related to nutrition, education, and agriculture. My academic goals include graduating with Honors in Spring 2023 and pursuing my Masters degree after graduation. I am pursuing a career in nutrition education. Currently, I plan to be a nutrition professor.
I am interning with UME Agriculture and Food Systems program, the Baltimore city location. My mentor is Neith Little. I will be shadowing Neith as well as her colleagues to learn about their careers. I will be assisting Neith with multiple projects this summer related to Aquaponics and Entrepreneurship in farming. These projects align with my interests and hobbies which include animals, aquatics, botany and entrepreneurship. I look forward to contributing my knowledge and skills to these projects and having a summer full of learning experiences.
